Our school-based traineeships offer school students, in year 11 & 12, a unique opportunity to gain real-world work experience and earn a nationally recognised VET qualification while completing their senior secondary school qualification.

This pathway is government funded, with no extra costs to the students or school. 

Rosters will differentiate based on individual circumstances, however are usually either:

• 3 days at school, 2 days in work placement, or
• 4 days at school, 1 day in work placement.

At Aspire, we provide a range of options for school-based traineeships, including Business and Government. These specialised programs allow students to delve into their areas of interest and develop industry-specific skills that will set them apart in their chosen fields.

Through our partnerships with reputable employers in each industry, students participating in these traineeships gain valuable hands-on experience, working alongside professionals and building a network of contacts within their desired industry. This exposure to real-world environments and industry practices is invaluable for their future career prospects.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors and industry professionals, students apply their classroom learning to practical tasks, honing their skills, building confidence, and expanding their knowledge. Our comprehensive support system ensures that students receive the guidance and resources they need throughout their traineeship journey.

As a part of the new changes coming in 2024 Year 10's will be able to do courses as a part of the new arrangements with DTWD.
