On Friday 1 August Aspire was delighted to present certificates to 9 graduates from Westrac for the completion of their program developed to enhance the training and assessment skills of some of their apprentice’s training team. The qualifications that the team completed were:
Diploma of Vocational Education and Training TAE50111 AND
Diploma of Training Design and Development TAE50211
The program was run over almost 18 months and incorporated a mix of workshops, work based activities, assessment tasks and specific project work. The assessments were linked directly to the work the Westrac were undertaking in redeveloping all their training for the newly released training package in early 2014 and to implementing more effective training and assessment processes, techniques and strategies.
Many of the graduates were challenged and stretched with the step up from Cert IV TAE to the Diploma level qualification, but through hard work, perseverance and collaborative learning they all attained competency with some fantastic results. Karen said that she had seen significant growth in many of the participants and although some of the sessions had been challenging due to the different levels of experience and knowledge the group had been a pleasure to work with.
