Jemma attended the National VET conference in Adelaide on the 17th and 18th September 2015. The sold out conference seen 1000 delegates from across Australia attending the conference held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The conference covered a variety of different topics, aimed at the various areas of the VET sector. Chris Robinson, Chief Commissioner of ASQA presented on day one highlighting the importance of the National Standards and Compliance in the sector. The two day conference was then split into various workshops aimed at the following key areas:
– Policy and reform
– RTO management and compliance
– Training and assessing
– Admin stream
Jemma attended sessions based on RTO management and compliance including sessions covering compliance, validation, thoughtful leadership and advanced facilitation. Overall the two day program was a success.
