13 students from various agencies across the Public Sector graduated today with their Diploma of Government (Finance) qualification. This opportunity, funded by their agency and the Department of Training and Workforce Development forms part of an upskilling program aimed at providing public sector employees with qualifications and training specific to their industry. Aspire were chosen, as their training partner. The participants ranged from agencies such as Health, Fisheries, EEO, Department of Child Protection and are located all over the state (with Albany being furthest afield) .
The model included on-the-job training, seminars, formal assessment, guest speakers from the Public Sector CFO Reference Group and experts from chosen fields such as Human Resources. The pilot was an over-whelming success which the public sector may look to replicate in the future. Our congratulations go out to all the cadets.
