Eligibility Criteria for the New Worker Definition:

  • Full-time employees who have been with your company for less than three months.
  • Part-time employees who have been part of your team for less than 12 months.

Real Estate Industry Example

For those pursuing a Certificate III in Real Estate Practice (ideal for sales reps, admin staff, and reception staff), you can receive a total of $2,125—$1,062.50 paid at 6 months and $1,062.50 upon completion.

For the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (perfect for PMs and Assistant PMs), you can earn $4,250—$2,125 paid at 6 months and $2,125 on completion.

The Jobs and Skills WA Employer Incentive provides financial assistance to Western Australian businesses that employ an apprentice or new entrant trainee.

When you choose to empower your business and support emerging talent in Western Australia, you stand to gain substantial financial benefits through the State Government Employer Incentive Scheme.

Detailed Incentive Breakdown for Full-Time Trainees:

  • 12-month traineeship: Gain $2,125, with $1,062.50 awarded at both 6 months and completion.
  • 24-month traineeship: Benefit from a total of $4,250, split evenly at 6 months into the traineeship and upon completion.

Eligibility: 

Western Australian Employers who are eligible to access the incentive are:

  • New entrant trainee employers.
  • Not-for-profit organisations.
  • Local Government and Government trading enterprises.
  • Employers with annual apprentice-related expenses below $1 million.
  • Group training organisations.

New-worker definition:  A new worker to your company. Employed less than 3 months full time, or less than 12 months casual or part-time, they will need to be part-time or full-time to undertake the traineeship.
