Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Overview
The gateway to a career as a qualified Trainer and Assessor in different specialisations, our Certificate IV Training and Assessment offers candidates a Nationally Recognised Qualification that is widely acknowledged as a training pre-requisite across multiple industry sectors including the Vocational Education and Training (VET sector).
- 15 full days of face-to-face classes hosted by experienced Aspire trainers, as well as some self-paced study,
- The potential to complete this comprehensive course between six months and two years,
- Seeking to gain formal training and assessment qualifications.
- Working as Enterprise trainers and assessors within businesses and organisations.
- Working in Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
- Providing mentoring and coaching in the workplace aligned to workplace competency standards.
- Seeking verification of competency in the workplace (Recognition of Prior Learning) and upgrades from the TAE40110 to the TAE40116.

Course Structure
Entry Requirements
Those enrolling in this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing areas. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
A pre-requisite language literacy and numeracy test may be required for candidates who do not have equivalent or higher qualifications

TAELLN411 Address Adult Language Literacy and Numeracy Needs - Training Delivery – Four days of classwork to cover 2 units
TAEDEL401 Plan, Organise and Deliver Group-Based Learning Programs
TAEDEL402 Plan, Organise and Facilitate Learning in the Workplace - Assessment Design – Four days of classwork to cover 3 units
TAEASS401 Plan Assessment Activities and Processes
TAEASS403 Participate in Assessment Validation
TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools
For current trainers and assessors holding the TAE40110, Aspire also offers:
1) Updates to the TAE40110, across three days, covering:
– TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools
– TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Skills
2) A full upgrade to the TAE40116, across four days, covering:
– TAEASS401 Plan Assessment Activities and Processes
– TAEASS403 Participate in Assessment Validation
– TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools
– TAELLN411 Participate in Assessment Validation

Delivery
Face to face training for the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is delivered over fifteen days from 9:00am – 4:30pm. We have designed this course to involve interactive group activities.
Learners are required to complete assessments in addition to attending sessions. Assessments will consist of written knowledge questions, practical assessment activities and document portfolios.

Aspire conducts TAE Training and Assessment sessions throughout the year and there are multiple dates you can start the course.

Cost
Enquire with Aspire to take advantage of Government Priority Industry Training (PIT) funding for this course, where, for a limited time, eligible students pay only $477.90 for the whole course. (non-funded participants pay $3,450)
