I found the recent vocational competency session on the article written by Perlow and Herman (2010) to be tremendously valuable in identifying concrete behaviors around work life balance. The article was an insight to the Boston Consulting Groups Managing Partner, George Martin and his best performing consultants.
The facilitation of the session by Sheevaun was informative and engaging and provided an excellent opportunity to chat with like minded colleagues on such an important topic in workplaces today.
The session has encouraged me to stop and reflect on my own habits around balancing my work load and especially the use of technology and checking emails in the evening.
I highly recommend similar peer group sessions to anyone wanting to keep abreast of the latest research into corporate engagement and also provide an excellent opportunity for professional development with your team.
